This was a continous series from March to June 2020.
March 25, 12:00 am, the lockdown bell rang. People, movement, frozen. Economies halted, streets silent, lights faded. New Zealand went under lockdown. I, stuck home, blinded as curtains blocked the sun.
This series document the lock down daily life in New Zealand, from photographer Matthew Chen. He documents online school, the streets and family. It is quite a comphrensive report of the lock down. New photos will be added daily in addition to a daily journal entry, which will be releaised at the end of the coronavirus pandemic.
