The Mackenzie region is a beautiful place, consisting of New Zealand's tallest peak, Mt Cook, many lakes including Lake Ohau and other picturesque sights. These photos are photos which I took in Mt Cook National Park in the spring of 2019. My favourite photo is the first photo of the Sealy Range. This photo took the combination of 11 different exposures, focus. In the background is the Sealy Range, notably Mt Ollivier, the first mountain Sir Edmund Hillary climbed. The foreground is pre-alpine grass, flattened by the strong wind in the region. The trees with no leaves stand strong against the wind, though stripped of all leaves, a metaphor for civil disobedience.
